In response to industry interest and requests, TAT has released a new training video intended to serve as a refresher for previously trained trucking audiences. The TAT in Action-Trucking Refresh is a resource for TAT partners seeking fresh training content to share with drivers. Whether they have continued to show one of TAT’s principal training videos every year to TAT-trained audiences, have incorporated one of these videos into orientation, or are simply looking to remind their drivers about this important issue, trucking partners now have a shorter option to share with employees, which builds on the foundation established by TAT’s OTR or Local Drivers videos.
The new eight-minute training not only includes red-flag indicators and reminders on how to report human trafficking, but also features motivating animations of two real-life TAT in Action stories. The cases associated with the Harriet Tubman Award-winning truck drivers Arian Taylor and Joe Aguayo are depicted through vibrant animations woven into the training, and, through the work of compelling voice actors, told from the perspective of the survivors they assisted in recovering.
Check out this clip from the training video featuring one of the animations.
If you have used the over-the-road training video in the past, please consider rolling out this new video across your organization to refresh the training content for your previously trained drivers and reinforce the need to recognize and report this crime.
The TAT in Action-Trucking Refresh course is available on our learning portal at train.tatnonprofit.org, and available via SCORM for organizations seeking to load the course on their internal Learning Management System. TAT can also share the mp4 of the video for organizations that train via an in-person, classroom setting. The training video will be available with Spanish and French Canadian subtitles later this year. As with all TAT training, we request that, in exchange for access to this free content, companies report training numbers to us. To request access to this training, contact info@tatnonprofit.org, or ask your TAT representative about deployment options and how to best incorporate this video across your organization.
