Welcome Oregon Carriers!

Human trafficking – or modern-day slavery – is a global crime in which people are bought and sold for forced labor or commercial sex. Traffickers use violence, manipulation and false promises of work opportunities or romance to lure, control and exploit their victims. Of the estimated 50 million victims worldwide, thousands of girls, boys, women and men are trafficked for sex or labor in the U.S. and Canada.

In response to these realities, TAT recognizes that trucking, along with other members of the transportation industry, are perfectly positioned in the course of their everyday jobs to provide an extra set of eyes and ears to law enforcement in helping to identify both victims and perpetrators of human trafficking. The very nature of their jobs — with their extensive travel, the variety of venues they visit, and their sheer numbers – creates opportunities for members of these industries to interact with potential victims of human trafficking regularly. They just need training to both identify and report human trafficking when they see it.

Here’s where you come in!

If you are a driver looking to take the training, please click on the blue ‘Drivers’ button below to be taken to TAT’s training portal. Once there, you can select from a number of free training courses (Over-the-Road, Local Drivers or Movers/In-Home Delivery). This training takes approximately 35 minutes to complete.

If you are a safety director looking to implement this free training at your company, please click the blue ‘Carriers’ button. This will take you to a form asking how you want to implement the training (i.e., in a group setting, online, or through an LMS) and what training videos you are interested in, so TAT can get you set up with the necessary materials.

Thank you for your support of this work!
