Partnering to Protect Youth on Transportation

How can we leverage local community transportation systems to protect youth from exploitation and human trafficking as they move throughout their days? How can we collaborate to educate youth on the dangers of human trafficking?

May is both Youth on Transportation Safety Month and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Month. In recognition of this, please join us for a half-day human trafficking awareness event bringing together local stakeholders including community transportation, tribal representation, law enforcement and youth-serving organizations to facilitate community-wide collaboration on preventing and interrupting youth exploitation.

The agenda for the day will feature:

  • Information about the realities of human trafficking
  • Presentation from a survivor-leader
  • Panel of local experts focused on protecting/serving exploited and at-risk youth
  • Opportunities for networking and Q&A
  • Tours of TAT’s Freedom Drivers Project
