TAT in Action: Truck Stop Training Video

An Animated Training Series

October 1, 2026

Recognizing the importance of truck stop and travel center employees in the fight against human trafficking, TAT has released a new training video designed specially for truck stops and travel centers.

Over the years, TAT’s truck stop and travel center partners have used our trucking videos to train their employees. While the content of those videos has been valuable in helping them understand the crime of human trafficking and its intersections with the trucking industry, this new video, for the first time, takes the viewer inside the convenience store to illustrate what employees may be seeing, how they may be interacting with potential victims, and why their actions in those moments can make such a significant difference.

The new eight-minute training not only includes red-flag indicators and reminders on how to report human trafficking, but also features motivating animations of two, real-life, TAT-in-Action stories. The cases associated with the Harriet Tubman Award-winning truck stop employees Jessica Chapman and Alan Bailey are depicted through vibrant animations woven into the training, and, through the work of compelling voice actors, told from a re-imagined perspective of the survivors they assisted in recovering.

The TAT in Action: Truck Stop course is available on our training portal and available via SCORM for organizations seeking to load the course on their internal Learning Management System. TAT can also share the mp4 of the video for organizations that train via an in-person, classroom setting. The training video will be available with Spanish and French Canadian subtitles in 2027. As with all TAT training, we request that, in exchange for access to this free content, companies report training numbers and impact stories to us.
